Monsters, Pt. 2

Seeking somewhere to stay while they await the return of Brennen and Regan, the rest of the party heads for the outskirts of Armstrungard to entreat the hospitality of a former acquaintance of Regan’s. As it turns out, their new host’s house is…of considerably worse repute than Nia would prefer. Once settled in, Billy and Nelson struggle to process the killing they were recently party to. Meanwhile, Jen and Nia stumble upon an unspeakably vile truth, beneath the already grimy surface of their new surroundings.

Our next episode will be released on April 13. If you are enjoying the show, ratings and reviews on iTunes are extremely helpful to us.

A Great Review from Rebecca Demarest

Exciting news! Author, critic, and designer Rebecca A. Demarest posted an excellent review of our show on her website this morning.

She calls the series “delightful,” with “fully developed characters that translate well through audio.” She’s “hooked and there’s no going back.” Read the full review over at Rebecca’s website.

Rebecca is a talented writer and promising voice in her own respect, so her praise counts for a lot. Her first novel, Undeliverableis available now from most major e-booksellers, and you should definitely check it out. In addition to her book being a well-crafted, emotionally resonant story about loss, $1 from each sale book goes to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (Charity Navigator Rating). So that’s pretty awesome.

So thank you, Rebecca, for the kind words, and thanks to everyone else who helps spread the word about our show.

Edit: Full Disclosure – Rebecca occasionally advertises on this site via Project Wonderful.

Monsters, Pt. 1

After the foiled ambush on the party by Redmoor soldiers, Brennen fears (correctly) that High King Gunther Guernatal is in danger. So, he makes haste back to Castle Guernatal with Regan in tow, hoping to re-establish the Guernatal dynasty before it’s too late. Little does he know that Ardel Redmoor has already made his treacherous move for the Throne. The rest of the party heads back to Armstrungard to hide out, but Billy and Nelson are deeply troubled by the events of the recent battle. In the west, House Ironhertz – and their tactically advantageous stronghold – falls to the rebel General Traft.

If you’re listening on an iOS devices, iTunes reviews are greatly appreciated! Our next episode will be released on March 30.

Cast Update: Spring 2014

Greetings Dear Viewers!

Wanted to let you know about some awesome live theater events that a few of our incredibly talented cast members are going to be performing in in the near future.

First up, Lily Drexler (Gwen) will be starring in DARK WATER by David Stallings, directed by Heather Cohn and presented by MTWorks. Here’s a synopsis:

The swampland of Louisiana is hit with the most massive oil spill known to history. Barnacle, an old sea turtle, fights against man’s destruction, nature’s wrath, and her enemies of the wild to save her children trapped in the spill. Poetry, allegory, music, puppetry and movement create this magical world as the animals of Louisiana face the ultimate threat to their lives.

DARK WATER will run from March 14-29 (Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm) at the 14th Street Y. Tickets are available at MTWorks.org or by calling 866-811-4111.

Then, starting in April, Anya Gibian (Regan, Arlene) will be singing, dancing, playing cello and, in her own words, “who knows what else,” in THE MYSTERIES, from award-winning playwright and director Ed Sylvanus Iskandar, performed by The Bats at The Flea Theater in Tribeca. Here’s a synopsis of that:

The Flea embarks on an extravaganza with 48 playwrights and 54 actors retelling the entirety of The Bible in a single night. 50 World Premiere plays telling the entire History of Man’s Salvation from The Fall of Lucifer through and including Judgment Day.

Performances run Monday, Thursday – Saturday at 6:30 and Sunday at 4:30 from April 3 through May 25. You can get tickets here, but buy yours soon as they’re going quick! Dinner is included with your ticket.

That’s all for now. If you’re in the NY area and are into live theater, you should definitely check these events out.

A Little Blood, Pt. 4

In the thrilling conclusion of Chapter 3, Ardel Redmoor springs his nefarious trap and Arlene has one last chance to stop him. Will she act in time? Meanwhile, the party must defend against a surprise attack from the Redmoor soldiers they’ve made camp with. But the gravest consequences fall on Billy and Nelson.

Chapter 4 will premiere on March 16. If you’re enjoying the show, please leave us a rating on iTunes!
